Danieli Kisi

€34.95

From one of Kakheti's most prized and lesser-known microzones comes this beautifully crafted expression of Kisi — a wine of golden warmth, honeyed depth and quiet elegance. The microzone of Argokhy in western Kakheti, nestled within the Akhmeta district of Magraani, is celebrated for producing grapes of exceptional character and concentration. In the hands of Danieli Winery, those grapes become something truly special — a Qvevri amber wine of remarkable balance, complexity and charm.

Grape Variety 100% Kisi — a rare and treasured indigenous Georgian grape from the Kakheti region, celebrated for its naturally honeyed aromatics, gentle tannins and beautiful affinity with full skin-contact Qvevri fermentation. Sourced exclusively from the prestigious microzone of Argokhy — one of Kakheti's finest and most distinctive terroirs.

Taste Profile Warm golden amber in the glass, with an inviting and generous nose of honey, dried apricot, ripe pear and delicate vanilla. On the palate the wine is beautifully balanced — honeyed and fruit-driven with a pleasant tannic structure, a gentle sweetness from the dried fruit character and a long, warm finish that lingers with elegance and grace.

Craftsmanship Handpicked from the vineyards of Danieli Winery Ltd. in the microzone of Argokhy, this 2017 vintage is crafted using the traditional Kakhetian Qvevri technique at its most complete. The pressed grapes ferment together with their stems, seeds and skins in clay vessels buried entirely underground, stirred manually three times a day for approximately two weeks. The wine then rests for a further six months in Qvevri, developing its signature amber colour, honeyed depth and beautifully integrated tannin structure.

Serving Suggestions Best served immediately after opening at 10–14°C. A natural companion to veal, chicken dishes and sushi. Alcohol: 12% — 750ml.
