Marani Ruispiri Mtsvane (Bio)
Spiced, aromatic and crafted with extraordinary care — this biodynamic amber Mtsvane from the Telavi district of Kakheti is a wine of real character and quiet distinction. Harvested by hand under the cover of night to preserve every delicate aroma the grape has to offer, then fermented in Qvevri with stems, skins and seeds before finishing in oak — this is a wine that honours both the ancient and the artisanal at every step. Decant, breathe and discover.
Grape Variety 100% Mtsvane — one of Georgia's most celebrated indigenous white grape varieties, native to the Kakheti region and prized for its bright natural acidity, vibrant aromatics and beautiful affinity with the traditional Qvevri method. Grown biodynamically in the Telavi district, where the unique terroir of East Georgia gives this vintage its distinctive spiced and aromatic character.
Taste Profile Warm and glowing amber in the glass, with an expressive and spiced aromatic profile that opens beautifully with decanting. Rich, layered and pleasantly complex on the palate — the full-skin Qvevri fermentation giving this Mtsvane real texture, tannic presence and a depth of character that sets it apart from any conventional white wine expression of this grape.
Craftsmanship Night-harvested by hand to preserve the freshness and aromatic integrity of the Mtsvane grape, this 2019 vintage is produced using the traditional Kakhetian Qvevri technique. The pressed grapes ferment together with their stems, seeds and skins in clay vessels buried entirely underground, stirred manually three times a day for approximately two weeks. The wine then continues its ageing journey first in Qvevri, then in oak barrels — a process that builds remarkable complexity and depth. Produced biodynamically by Irricultge LTD in the heart of Kakheti.
Serving Suggestions Decanting is strongly recommended. Best served at 16–18°C. Store in a cool place at 5–20°C with a maximum humidity of 85%. Pairs beautifully with spiced meat dishes, aged cheeses, rich poultry and Georgian cuisine. Alcohol: 13.5% — 750ml.
