Marbano was born from a deeply personal story. Founded by winemaker Levan Bandzeladze — named after his daughter Mariam, who arrived in 2018 just as he was bottling his first wines — this small-batch Kartli winery has quickly become one of Georgia's most exciting producers. Since 2018, Marbano wines have won double gold, gold, silver and bronze medals at both local and international competitions. This 2022 Shavkapito is a testament to why — elegant, harmonious and deeply rooted in the soul of Kartli. 

Grape Variety 100% Shavkapito — an indigenous red grape variety of the Kartli region, prized for its naturally vibrant ruby colour, refined tannins and beautifully aromatic profile of red berries and spice. Levan Bandzeladze has made it a personal mission to champion and refine Shavkapito as a variety worthy of international recognition. 

Taste Profile Brilliant ruby in the glass, with an inviting and elegant nose of fresh berries, ripe blackberry and warm vanilla. On the palate the wine is harmonious and beautifully balanced — smooth, refined and deeply satisfying from first sip to last. Oak ageing adds a gentle depth and roundness that ties the whole wine together.
