Villa Mosavali Mtsvane

€24.95

From a south-facing vineyard at 600 metres above sea level in the village of Akhalubani comes this vibrant and expressive expression of Goruli Mtsvane — a grape whose very name tells its story. "Mtsvane" means green in Georgian, "Goruli" means from Gori, the ancient capital of the Kartli region. Crafted by Villa Mosavali, a winery that masterfully bridges 8,000 years of Georgian tradition with contemporary winemaking, this is a white wine of real character and elegance.

Grape Variety 100% Goruli Mtsvane — a rare indigenous Georgian grape native to the Kartli region, celebrated for its vibrant natural acidity, aromatic freshness and characteristic notes of green apple, pear and citrus. When fully ripe, the grapes take on a distinctive yellow-green hue — a natural signature of this remarkable variety.

Taste Profile Fresh and aromatic in the glass, with crisp notes of green apple, ripe pear and bright citrus. The palate is lively and well-structured, with a vibrant acidity that reflects the high-altitude terroir of Kartli. Aged on the lees for added complexity, this wine delivers more depth than its freshness might suggest — clean, lingering and deeply satisfying.

Craftsmanship Handpicked and placed in small trays to preserve the integrity of every grape, the fruit is crafted using modern European winemaking techniques at Villa Mosavali's state-of-the-art winery. The wine is aged on the lees in cellars four metres underground, where the natural temperature and humidity create the perfect conditions for developing complexity and character. Villa Mosavali has been producing wine since 2018 across 40 hectares of carefully tended vineyards in Kartli and Kakheti.

Serving Suggestions Best served chilled at 10–12°C. A natural companion to fresh seafood, light pasta dishes, soft cheeses and Mediterranean salads.
